The first time I went here was almost 9-10 years ago? second time was maybe 3 years ago, then went back again recently with a friend who asked me a good Italian restaurant at Machiya so I recommended this place.
First we ordered a half bottle champagne to start our dish, then came the free appetizer which was really good by the way. I miss their cold corn soup before though!
Anyway this is what we ordered Smoke Salmon Carpaccio with Cauliflower mousse we paired with a white wine, very good combination and the plating is beautiful
Chicken Liver pâté with bread on the side paired with another white wine, I actually dont eat liver but here the pâté was sooo creamy and sweet, loved the sweet toppings paired with a nice amount of sauce on the side.
Loved the cook on the fish too, the sear on the skin was perfect. That fish was so perfectly cooked when you cut it open it was glistening to perfection. Paired with 3 different kinds of sauce and perfectly cooked vegetables on the side.
A5 Wagyu beef steak in truffle sauce and mashed potato paired with red wine was the highlight of the night. The cook on that steak was so perfect it literally melts in my mouth. SO GOOD I'm actually speechless.
We also ordered pasta peperoncino and pasta with tomato cream sauce topped with Uni. I wish the peperoncino was a little bit spicy but it was really good anyway so I didn't mind.
finally the dessert was cookies&cream ice cream with fresh strawberries and sauce on the side. I don't normally eat sweets but this one was so good, paired with a dessert wine of course. great balance between the sweetness of the ice cream with acidity of the strawberry.
They have a good selection of wine too.
Overall to be honest this restaurant deserves a Michelin star! I really commend the skill, effort and creativity of the Chef. Really great place and will definitely...
