Pretty tasty pan-fried gyoza here. We preferred the garlic gyoza over the non-garlic gyoza. The gyoza skins are incredibly crispy and thin, which was interesting.
The atmosphere inside was lively and fun. We were the only foreigners while here; this restaurant was mostly filled with locals. The staff still treated us politely despite our elementary Japanese language skills.
The wait was about 50 minutes on a Saturday night, which I didn't feel was worth it based on the food. I would recommend coming here early when...

While browsing Tabelog, I discovered that even dumplings have top 100 restaurants! 😆 On a Friday night, nothing beats some dumplings with drinks. 🙌🏻
Founded in 1975, originally a small street stall in Kochi City, "Ebisu no Yasubee" is known for its ultra-thin skin dumplings made in cast iron pans. Now, it has a branch in Ebisu, Tokyo. With only 35 seats and no reservations, expect a 40-minute wait on Friday nights (mostly locals). ☺️
Japanese dumplings are different but delicious. Crispy, bite-sized, perfect with drinks. 🤤 Boiled dumplings come with soup.
Oden was a pleasant surprise. Chewy and tasty without sauce. 😻
Interesting sides like chives with egg yolk and sesame oil. Chives were a bit long. 😆
Overall, worth the...
Read moreSmall but very crispy dumplings! Popular spot to go out for some beers. Usually there is a long queue to be seated, so be ready to wait in line for at least 30 minutes. The line are actually shorter now due to COVID. Not only that the dumplings are great, but the ramen at the end of the meal is very delicious, too. The soy sauce base soup is phenomenal. It’s good enough to share...
