The good parts: the foie gras truffle rice was super fragrant and delicious. Private dining space. Friendly staff members. Easy to access location. The disappointing part: We made a reservation for two people for 9:30 pm and had to left in a rush at 11:40 pm. It was mainly just waiting for the food. There are not many actual dishes throughout the course but it took forever for each of them to come out. Not to mention that they don’t even provide water or tea. You can order bottled water or tea from the drinks menu at 600 yen. 10% service charge for the entire bill, including drinks. However, nobody checked on our water or need. Other than quickly delivering the food, nobody came in to our “private” dining room. For the grilling part, it was the most irritating part. We had the chateaubraid part, which was something we really looked forward to, and the person who helped cooking it just poached it right away. Without properly pre-oiling the grill pan, the meat sticks into the pan. The grilling service didn’t feel professional. The dessert didn’t match the expectation for a “Luxury Course” at all. They definitely didn’t make the desserts in house. The affogato has pieces of ice in the vanilla ice cream, which makes me think that it is either not stored properly or not fresh. The almond tofu looks like it was scooped out of a box from supermarket. All in all, I don’t recommend this place for someone who is very particular about Japanese grilled beef or who wants to experience actual service throughout their course. I booked this place for its high rating, but from my opinion, it doesn’t not deserve...
Read moreAn Unforgettable Yakiniku Experience in Shibuya
Tucked away in a quiet corner of Shibuya, this intimate yakiniku restaurant offers a one-of-a-kind dining experience reminiscent of an omakase-style meal. Unlike traditional yakiniku spots where guests grill their own meat, here, each dish is served one at a time, ensuring that every bite is cooked to absolute perfection.
The restaurant itself is small, with only a handful of private rooms that create an exclusive and cozy atmosphere. With just five staff members, the service is remarkably attentive, yet never intrusive. Each staff member is warm, knowledgeable, and dedicated to making the dining experience seamless.
Now, let’s talk about the highlight—the beef. Simply put, it is exceptional. Every cut, from melt-in-your-mouth wagyu to expertly marbled sirloin, is sourced and prepared with precision. The balance of flavors, textures, and perfect grilling techniques make each course a delight.
Despite the exclusivity, the ambiance is relaxed rather than overly formal, making it perfect for both special occasions and an indulgent night out. Given the quality and personalized service, reservations are a must.
For those seeking a refined yet intimate yakiniku experience in Tokyo, this hidden gem in Shibuya is an absolute must-visit. I recommend to try for those who...
Read moreUnimpressive food and service overall. Booked the restaurant due to high Google rating but the food was honestly just ok, nothing outstanding. We were not introduced which part of beef we're going to eat and we had to guess 1 of the pieces was beef tongue (thick cut). The staff put all the beef onto barbecue at the same time so food got cold quite easily. Also, we waited for more than 15 mins after the rice and thought they were preparing the dessert but we found out still 1 course coming up (cold noodles) when we rang the bell and asked the staff about the dessert. Last but not least, 3 servers, instead of 1, came to serve us in the 1.5 hour dining time.
With this price (20,000 yen per head), a lot of options are available. Will not recommend or...
