Really really delicious spicy hot pot place recently opened just in front of Okubo station. The address on Google takes you down a suburban street but the shop is actually on the main road right next to Pepper Lunch. Look for an orange sign. Really large seating area that can cater over 30 people. Instead of individual prices, the hot pot is by weight so ¥400 per 100g. I think this is quite a fair price for spicy hot pot. When you first go in, you pick up a bowl and tongs and then can choose from a variety of fresh ingredients and noodles. Lots to choose from: greens (spinach, cabbage, broccoli, etc), meats (pork, beef, lamb, sausages), fish (white flesh, prawns, etc) and lots of fish cakes, dumplings, tofu etc. to name a few. You then take it to the counter, they weigh it for you and choose your spice level (3 to 5). I recommend 3 and if it is not enough you can add in extra afterwards at the condiments bar, 3 is spicier than average Japanese spice level. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating, helping me and any others visiting for the first time and explaining the process. Always smiling and answered any questions I had. You can also take home any hot pot you couldn’t finish for ¥80 which they will arrange for you and comes with a sturdy reusable bag. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. Will be...

The "normal" soup was pretty spicy, so if you like spicy food, this place is worth a try! If you order more than 1,000 yen of food, they will even give you extra noodles!
