Unjo Saryo — Restaurant in Uji

This is a cafe located in the Genji Tale museum. The museum is small and very interesting with the text and exhibition being in Japanese. When we finished with the museum we went to take a rest in the cafe where the museum shop is also located. It was not crowded and it seemed serene. However, nobody paid attention to us and we were not sure what to do. There was not a menu to check the items and the personnel had very bad attitude. Probably because we were foreigners and they assumed we can not speak Japanese they decided to not engage with us in any form and the serrs just walked past by us. The food & atmosphere is good, but still not recommended. Because the male staff there had bad attitude & not helpful at all.

For the female staff if you’re foreigner you don’t even get a glass of water first, I saw her served the local customers with a glass of free water but I don’t, later on I ask the male staff, he refused to give me one. Overpriced but not getting a...

・青紅葉の洲浜 玉露ムースの山 抹茶クラム 生クリーム

上部の州浜をイメージされたのは渦のクリームは生クリームを固めたものでさっぱり、そして同じ生クリームでも下のは滑らかくちどける濃厚ながらさっぱりした生クリームをゆずのような風味ある抹茶のクラムが爽やかに仕上げます

抹茶の山のようなムースはパンナコッタのような弾力に押し寄せる玉露の苦味 かなり苦味を感じられ私好み！ちまちま食べるのにいいです

・玉露のシフォンケーキ 露の寒天

寒天はほのかな抹茶の風味。 構成に書いてませんが抹茶のアイスが入っていて、甘みがしっかり感じられます しかもこのアイスがかなりのボリューム

シフォンケーキはしっとりと、苦味がしっかりなのでアイスと合わさると甘さと苦味のバランスが良い

・玉露ゼリー 季節の果実 季節の楽実ソース 白玉 季節の果実はいちご 爽やかな酸味とほのかな甘みあるソースにもちもちの白玉粉なの風味豊かな白玉

上記3部構成からなるパフェは飽きずその味わいを楽しめました スイーツ好きさんなら普通サイズでもお一人で召し上がられるかと
