WOCCA ROCCA curry and...​​UJI — Restaurant in Uji

In short, don’t go there. It wast of time. This is first time i am giving that bad review.

Food: I have chicken curry. There was two/three small pieces of chicken. Rice was not finished or it was dry. That food had no taste, after I put all spices which was on table, then it started to be spicy.

Service: First I thought that this will be some fancy restaurant. People waiting, you need to write name and number of person. Funny thing is that we been 7 persons on waiting list. Inside was space for 7 persons. But we waited and waited for service girl to prepare table. She was super super super slow!!! And yes she was young. Then I get food. Without spoon or anything, so I bring it from another table because I don’t want to wait half an hour for it.

Atmosphere: Place is nice concept is Okej. But seriously, you need here one person in kitchen and one on field. Give them money and you restaurant will...

Then we went in this one randomly because we saw the picture posted outside - seasonal figs with ice cream

They almost done for the day but these young dude still accommodated to take our order: figs with ice cream and a cup of cold coffee

Coffee : they use Maruyama 丸山咖啡 from 輕井澤 Karuizawa ，frankly it is very very good

Walking up the mountain for some anime pilgrimage and encountered this beautiful curry shop at the turn. I’d say this is not for meat lovers, for the few meat options and amount offered in each dish, however, it is vegan friendly so do come if you’re one. The curry’s herbal flavor is mild but authentic, soothing at least. You could see the Uji river flowing and people either sitting by or walking on the shores of Ujigawa. Time is surely slowed eating here....
