Kitchen HUB Dining — Restaurant in Yakushima

We had penne, venison meat pasta and curry. The food was not impressive. The venison pasta was salty and the penne was soupy. The curry was good apparently.

Service wise, I asked the staff about a product (the first picture that comes up of a meat dish) but they kinda rudely replied してない (they don't make it here). The waitress took off mid order to attend new customers at the door. She also told my friend to stop when he started saying his order (I guess she's not familiar with the menu).

I think the ingredients are just store bought and not really local. Also, the local varieties are more expensive which is strange since it's from the island and should be...

One of the few places on the island that is open for a late lunch.

They offer a good range of western and japanese style foods. The pizza was surprisingly good and the fries were nicely seasoned. I had a sashimi bowl as well which was fresh and delicious. The milk tea was also very good.

This is one of the few places in town that is open after 3pm (when the buses return from Shiratani), before dinner. We decided to stop in for a quick bite. I wish the dishes would come out at similar times, as my friends had finished eating and I did not have my food yet....
