Dragon Cafe — Restaurant in Yamagata

I strongly recommend this lovely cafe. The owner is so friendly and accommodating. He has very good English, so if you can’t speak Japanese you can rest assured you will be able to have a chat with this lovely man. He was very happy to accommodate myself and my partners request for vegetarian food. Speaking of the food, it was really good! He had a tomato pasta on the menu, you can tell he had made the sauce from scratch and used fresh ingredients, he even served us with some made bread. The sign was “Closed” when we visited but the owner kindly turned it to “Open”! There is a big espresso machine from Italy so that we enjoyed great espresso and cappuccino. He shared his experience of when he visited a mountainous area in America and many stories regards to mountains which he is really in to.
