We heard that this place had just opened yesterday and we were excited to try it after dinner!
Upon arrival, we were amazed at how cute the ambience is inside. They have table seating and bar seating available. We sat at the bar and got two fresh cakes (pistachio and cheesecake), wine, and ginger ale. They also have dinner options that looked delicious, but as mentioned we were coming from dinner so we were only looking for a night cap!
It was all so lovely but the friendliness of the staff was really what made this place so special! Thank you to Rei, Ana, Shu for your kindness this evening and for all the food recommendations for our travels. We greatly appreciate it and wish we could see you all again!
This was our last stop before leaving Zao and it was very memorable! 🤍

Cosy little cafe/bistro in the Zao Onsen Ski Resort. Staff are very friendly and cater to tourists. Food and pricing are actually quite decent for a tourist hotspot though would say the Fuji apple was not that good.
Chashu shoyu ramen Broth: S+, 8.5/10. Quite good actually. Simple but deep in flavour Noodles: S+, 8.5/10 Chashu: S+, 8.5/10. Value: A, 7/10. ¥1250 is not too bad
Roast beef bowl: S, 8/10. Beef was pretty tender and tasty
Matcha cheesecake Flavour: S+, 8.5/10. Rich cream cheese flavour with nice matcha gelato. Worked well Texture: SS, 9/10. Finally a traditional cheesecake. Nice rich cream cheese and biscuit base

Ordered shabu shabu, raw meat came but waited 20mins for the pot to arrive
Ordered sukiyaki, the initial portion of the sauce was very little and had to pay extra for more sauce
Meat was very fat, poor quality wagyu meat, more white fat than the meat itself
Probably good for tricking non Asian for so called Asian food, not authentic at all
