Beautiful place. Very atmospheric. Lovely man running the place. I don’t speak much Japanese, however he was very accommodating. There is a simple menu with some English. I had some cheese toast which was very tasty plus a café latte. Full of Jazz records, pictures and interesting pieces. Would definitely come back again when in Yamagata. A short walk from the train station, so very handy if you have to wait...

Apparently this cafe has some Jazz events thorough the year with big jazz musician. Owner love Zoot Sims. I will definitely back here again whenever has the chance. So glad I came here. All the reviews are true, this place is a gem in Yamagata. You should visit if you’re a jazz fan. If you don’t like jazz, you should still go anyway because you’ll be converted by the time you leave. It may be hard to enter by yourself, but the owner is so friendly and strikes up a conversation so don’t...
