Hi my fellow tourists, this is the English review you’re looking for. We came in at 7.30pm a few days before new year’s eve and it was packed, we had to wait for almost an hour to be seated. We came in as a group of 8 with 2 kids and the place was quite small but accommodating. Most of the servers were nice and helpful. We ordered through tablet app in which they provided English menu, and ordered Chili prawns, hot and sour noodles, Japanese fried chicken, stirred vegetables with mushrooms, spring rolls, sesame dumplings, and gyoza. Most of them were good, spring rolls were nice and punching, yet I didn’t really get the hype of the hot and sour noodles every other review was raving for, might be a matter of taste. The taste has been tailored accordingly to local taste buds and it is an excellent place to have Chinese food if you are craving for it. The place is full of locals during lunch time and you can tell it is very well liked among the local Japanese folks.
The sweet and sour soup whets my appetite. It is nothing too sweet or sour, just the right taste. I finished off the entire bowl and wanted a second serving.
Shrimp fried rice is also very delicious. The shrimps are very fresh and the meat is crunchy. The fried rice is well cooked, with egg yolk coating the rice grain.

I had about 2 hours at Yamagata station and waned to have a very late lunch at 3 pm so asked a woman at the info desk at the station where she and her coworkers typically eat.
