This café was such a lovely surprise! It’s a bit further away from the station and nestled in a residential area, but it is definitely worth a visit. I really enjoyed my coffee and just stayed here relaxing and reading a book for awhile. I love the large windows and natural light, the bathroom is really clean as well. All the staff were very polite and welcoming which is always nice when you’re by yourself. What more could you want from a cafe. Five stars, keep on...

There’s so many hidden jem in Japan (outside Tokyo). This time, in Yamagata. While on our way to ginzan onsen, we pop by this little trendy cafe.

Many a times, these cafes feel like the owner live for coffee.

Staffs are polite and friendly and the desserts and coffee are as good it looks....

This café was such a lovely surprise! It’s a bit further away from the station and nestled in a residential area, but it is definitely worth a visit. I really enjoyed my coffee and just stayed here relaxing and reading a book for awhile. I love the large windows and natural light, the bathroom is really clean as well. All the staff were very polite and welcoming which is always nice when you’re by yourself. What more could you want from a cafe. Five stars, keep on being amazing

店名は英語ではなくフランス語で ウルスブランと読み、「白熊」という意味 だそうです。blancは仏語で白い の形容詞。 ちなみにモンブランはmon-blanc 「白い山」 ブラン(blanc)マンジェは 白い食べ物、の意。 車通りの多い道路から一本住宅街の方に入り 公園が向かいにある閑静な環境。 店内は広くはありませんが店内の造りや 席の配置的に、二人連れかお一人様で ゆったり過ごせるような雰囲気。 若いご夫婦？で経営されているのかな 柔らかく丁寧で、距離感の丁度良い接客。 roasterなので焙煎も行っています。 特に豆にこだわっているカフェでは 例えばオレはブルマンしか飲まん、とか コナコーヒーは無いの？とか言わずに その店のオリジナルブレンド、を迷わず 頂くべきだと思っている。 そこにカフェの店主のこだわりや足跡が 詰まっているから。 カフェ店ごとにオリジナルの味が違うのは 当たり前、そのうえで自分の好みに合った カフェを探し巡るのも一興。 そもそもオリジナルブレンドがそのカフェの いちばんの自信作なのです。 こちらの店は潔くcoffeeのメニューページに オリジナルブレンド1、2と シングルオリジンが数種のみ。 迷わずオリジナルブレンド2をアイスで注文。 程良くビターで香り高く、後味もすっきりと 美味しく頂きました。 季節のデザート　桃のレアチーズケーキに スコーンも追加で頂きました。 桃のコンポートがたっぷりでスッキリとした 甘みのチーズケーキがコーヒーによく合う。 スコーンが秀逸。ジャムとクリーム付き。 提供時に軽く焼き温めるのか、温かくて サクサク食感も良く美味しく頂きました。 季節ごとに変わるデザートや キッシュやフレンチトースト等の軽食も とても美味しそうなので再訪は有りです。
