This place is 100% dog friendly 🐕🐶. The food is delicious and the staff is amazing! We met both the owner and chef; both were incredibly accommodating. They went out of their way and modified their menu to offer us Vegan food which I’m forever grateful for. I even felt bad seeing how much thought and effort they put into giving us a delicious vegan meal. As someone who is vegan and visiting Japan for the purpose of my dog having open heart surgery, it’s extremely hard to find restaurants that are both dog friendly and offer vegan options. The owner and chef both speak English so there was no language barrier. We are so glad we came to 7 Arts Cafe at the recommendation of another Mighty Hearts Project member who was also visiting with the purpose of his dog getting the same life saving open heart surgery. As an artist who regularly exhibits at 7artscafe, I can honestly say this place is more than just a cafe—it’s a cultural heartbeat.

My work centers on African fabric and music, and every time I step into 7artscafe, I feel seen, supported, and inspired. The team here truly embraces creativity from around the world. The walls are always alive with art, and there’s often a rhythm in the air that feels like home.

And the food—wow. As someone who’s always on the lookout for healthy fuel, their superfood-based menu is a dream. Whether it’s a vibrant smoothie, a hearty quinoa bowl, or one of their seasonal specials, I always leave feeling nourished in both body and soul.

I eat here almost weekly when I’m in town, and I’m endlessly grateful to have my art featured in a space that aligns with my values of wellness, culture, and community.

On a whim in February I decided to come to 7arts for one of their Saturday Morning Education Programs- Calligraphy with Kumiko Hamilton. I had just moved to Japan a few weeks prior and was looking to meet new people and find a hobby. It was such a great time, Joseph is lovely and Kumiko's lessons are always fun and interesting. 7arts has since become my local watering hole. It's a great space to meet new people, relax and the food is delicious. Joseph takes great care in creating and maintaining community and creating phenomenal, wholesome food.
