BAR Prima — Restaurant in Yokohama

Bar Prima is a true standout in Yokohama’s Kannai district and a highlight of our stay in Yokohama. It's an intimate space that delivers world class cocktails with precision and creativity. Bartender Mita is nothing short of a mixology master. The rum cocktail he crafted for a competition was stunningly good: layered with sugar cane molasses, and sugar cane vinegar, it was bold, nuanced with multiple layers of sweetness, and unforgettable. We are rooting for him to win the competition!

What makes Prima special is its personal touch. Whether you share your favorite spirit or request a twist on a classic, they’ll craft something just for you, and it’ll likely be one of the best drinks you’ve ever had. The bar itself is beautifully appointed, inviting you to linger and watch artistry happen right in front of you.

We returned multiple times and were consistently impressed. They accept cards are reasonably priced for the quality and are open till midnight making this a great spot to close out...

We came along for the great reviews and was just around the corner from the accommodation. Sadly, as a European, didn’t feel very welcome despite doormat saying ‘Welcome friends’ - asked for a beer brought whisky menu all in Japanese even though photos on here show English. Asked for beer and two very small beers arrived and was charged 1980yen - 4 times more than the next bar we went to on the next...
