Fuji Biryani — Restaurant in Yokohama

Fuji Biryani has so much potential, but my recent experience left me disappointed. Upon entering, there was no one to greet me, even after calling out three times. I eventually sat at a table that was wet, and when I moved to another, there were no menus available. I had to grab one from another table.

I could hear the sound of a microwave from the kitchen, which left me concerned. When the biryani arrived, it looked impressive, especially with the creative Mount Fuji presentation – a brilliant concept! The flavor was decent, but the chicken was clearly microwaved, which was disappointing for a dish priced at 1650 yen.

While the staff seemed kind, the service and food quality need improvement, especially at this price point. Fuji Biryani has a unique idea that could make it stand out, but they need to elevate the overall experience to match the potential of...

“I enjoyed the real Indian cuisine.” I’ve been visiting many Indian restaurants, and this is one of my choices. From the first bite of Biriyani, it gave me strong impression this is made with many spices. I had garlic chicken curry. It is soft and full of broth. It's first time for me to have chewie Naan. I like it. I tried to ask the origin of cuisine served at this restaurant, though my Japanese was not good enough to get the answer...

The mutton biryani was absolutely amazing. The mutton itself was the highest quality I have had in Japan--no fatty parts at all but super moist and delicious. Very large chunks of meat in there.

Ate here lunch today and got some bentos for the family and myself and ate it same night. For 650 yen, that has to be one of the best deals on food that is that satisfying I have ever had. My only complaint is that it is too far away to go...
