I can't say about dinner, but the lunch experience we had was terrible. I had to spend about 5 minutes going back & fourth with the waitress who was somehow unable to comprehend "1 beefsteak with rice, 1 beefsteak with salad". Then when we received the dishes, it was the smallest portion size I've ever seen and the "steak" was thin, cold, and dry - charging ¥2,500 yen for that quality & portion size is probably the most overpriced dish I've had in Japan. My advice for tourists in Yokohama would be stick to Japanese food - I have very rarely had an above sub-par experience with 'Japanized' Western food. The service was unfriendly and the only saving grace the place has is that the interior & 'vibe' was pleasant.
If you do come here, do yourself a favor & don't order any beef dishes & certainly not the "steak", because you will be...
Read moreIf I could give a negative review I would. After traveling to Denmark. I saw this restauramt 5 years ago, probably more, and I took my wife to have a taste and it is the same experiience I had in Denmark. The food taste and smells the same.
So now years after, my son said he haven't tried scandinavian food yet and I am so excited to bring them at Scandia. To my dismay, there is no Scandinavian thing about this restaurant anuymore except for the name. Could it be that ownership might have changed, (servers are all japanese now which actually I don't mind because we came for the food.) But the food is horrible, there is nothing scandinavian about it. It is just all Japanese made to look and taste like it. It such a huge disappointment. They should at least change their name so as not to...

I ordered the Scandinavian plate and I chuckled when I saw the dish because I basically got fried chicken with potato wedges and bread with a variety of toppings. I liked my meal ok, but I was not a fan of the caviar on one of the pieces of bread. The best thing about this place is the ambience, I went for dinner and the music and lighting really set the mood. The staff were polite enough. If you are expecting authentic Scandinavian food or food from the Nordic region, I doubt this is the place for you. However, if you're looking for a quick meal with a nice atmosphere, this could...
