【A Decent Stop, but Not Quite Memorable】

I recently visited Gohan to Tororo Toromugi, curious to try their signature dish, 横須賀ロールヘレかつ (Yokosuka Roll Hire Katsu). While the presentation was neat and visually appealing, I found the dish itself to be somewhat dry and lacking the flavor I had hoped for. It didn’t quite live up to its reputation, which left me wondering if some of their other menu offerings might be more satisfying.

The restaurant itself had a clean and welcoming ambiance, and the service was polite and efficient. The staff made me feel comfortable, even though the dish wasn’t to my taste. I can imagine this place being a good spot for a casual family meal or a quick bite.

If I were to visit again, I’d definitely explore other options on their menu, as I believe they might have hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Overall, an okay experience, but not one that stood out.

First up, i dont think the 3.7 rating does this place justice - it should be higher.

Yes, its not a well-known michelin-star joint, BUT if you are hungry, want a place with a nice music-only soundtrack in the background while you have your meal, then this place on the 8th floor of More's City building is totally acceptable.

The 5star rating is because i ordered the mixed yokosuka-pork-belly/regular tonkatsu set and a tempura-soba set and it surprised to the upside. See accompanying photos.

The pork-belly was a bit dry BUT the regular tonkatsu loin was tender and juicy on the inside. For the price, i would choose this over Maisen Tonkatsu and Katsukura any day.

The tempura-soba set had a sweet potato broth infused with lots of garlic, a unique and tasty combination.

If you are not a fussy eater, are hungry, want some quality at a cheaper price, and are in the neighbourhood, give this...

店員さんの接客、対応はすごく良かったです! ただ味に関してはちょっと… そばのつゆが美味しくないですね…だしの香りだけみたいな… あと丼や御膳のそばは温、冷選べるようにしたほうが良いのでは？せっかくのとろろを温蕎麦に入れるのは個人的に…あくまで個人的に… そばの麺自体が美味しいのにもったいないです…

あとこれは直接関係ないですが偶然いたお客さんですごい意識高い系を装った低次元な方がいて食事中なのに大声でトイレの話をするようなひどいお客さんです…他のお客さんもいるのにそんな話はするわ、どこ目線で話してるのかわからなくてとても不快でした…あーいう時店員さんも注意できれば…
