Stumbled on this gem on a walkabout. Best bagels I’ve ever had.

My husband is from New York, and as a result, bagels are a religion. I froze and brought some of these home to him and blew his mind. When we ran out of them, he was devastated. Since then, he has demanded I return here to refill our bagel inventory with some of the finest, fluffiest, most creative and delicious bagels known to man. Who am I to say no?

This is no made up retro, it is pure Showa retro (tho I wasn’t born then…. but feels like it)- the ancient building itself and and all the little decorations. All the different baked goods at such a reasonable price + crafts using international stamps, the owner lady has amazing creativity. You might have to wait outside if there is already someone ordering inside, but it’s worth waiting/visiting. Maybe four or five seats inside. An amazing and cozy spot, we happened upon it late and in spite of the limited options at the time what was available we went ahead with one of each. The owner was so very nice and included additional goodies complimentary. Inside the cafe area is extremely cozy with plenty of books for both adults and children.
