I was really pleased to come across Authentic Nepali/ Indian Cuisine in Gurkha Palace in Yokosuka and was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with traditional Nepali decor setting the mood perfectly. The service was attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home.Now, onto the food—absolutely exquisite! Each dish we ordered burst with flavor and authenticity. From the aromatic momos to the rich curries, every bite was a delight for the senses. The food was good. I ordered the Paneer Mahkani and the chicken with bamboo curry. Both were good but the makhani was definitely missing the makhani flavors, it just taste like the same curry that's used with the chicken curry. Be careful when ordering lunch and dinner items at the same time during lunch. We ordered a somasa which is 1pc for 200 yen at lunch, we were brought two pieces and were charged 600. I was told this was because I ordered a dinner meal at noon, so I got the dinner price for samosa. In the end they fixed the bill but it was frustrating trying to argue that the menu says 200. I saw this restaurant on the way to kannonzaki park. As soon as i saw the name Gorkha i was touched with the feel of nepal so I visited. On the entrance there is pic of late king Prithvi Narayan shah of Nepal. All the ambience, decorations and music is authentic to Nepal. It’s so nice and the same time i was expecting for authentic nepali food. But my bad, there’s all indian and Japanese taste food. I ended up on ordering this kaigun curry set. Food is nice, I love everything just it would be great if you guys served nepali traditional food too.
