Rainy weekday night before 8 PM. Parked at a nearby coin parking. We found original Tsunami closed, and the sign told us to go here, so we came. Good burgers…. But you do have to think of this place as a kind of Disneyland. We don’t pay 1500+ because the taste and amount are “worth” the price; rather, we pay to get a taste of the Yokosuka experience. (Personal opinion lol.) No dissatisfaction with the young male employees- they weren’t rude per se and we don’t have a problem with them chatting when they don’t have anything to do, but reading the reviews I do see why since customers might be a bit upset. Hard to explain, but it seemed they weren’t… used to welcoming and serving customers professionally, kind of..? Definitely the owner’s responsibility to train them better. Ganbatte cause it ain’t cheap food! (Wish the price at least included a few fries..!) Thanks for final memories on our last night...
Read moreThis store has 3 level and I think the top level is the best spot for terrace with sunshine for lunch.
During the weekend, the queue was pretty long. We got in but the staff didn't tell which floor to seat on so we were heading to the top floor, sat on the terrace. There were 2 tables occupied when we came. But just 3 minutes after that, the staff came & force us to sat on the 2nd floor. Being cooperative, we went down and accept this service even though we had asked politely to stay on the same level.
I understand the staff wasn't the decision maker but it would be better to let us sit there since they already have customers there, too
Coming to food, the burger portion was huge. The buffalo chicken wings and chocolate milkshake was the best!
If Tsunami Box is full of queue, try to check their sister restaurant just 100...
Read moreNot sure what all the gripes are about. We stopped in on a Wednesday night. We had water on the table within 5 minutes and our order taken within 10. All the food for our party of 6 in 10 minutes. For a Japanese take on a burger joint it was pretty good. The decor was kind of random. I liked the presentation of the burger stacked on a slant with a skewer. We need the purse baskets...
