I visited Cafe Sora during a trip to Yonezawa having been drawn in by the fact they had a great-looking dessert menu (and I have a huge sweet tooth). I sat down for lunch and ordered the creamy tomato shrimp pasta which was delicious and their homemade sparkling ginger which was presented beautifully and was perfectly refreshing. Then onto dessert! I ordered the Crème Brûlée french toast, and it was heavenly, wonderfully fluffy, sweet, and rich.
Everything in this cafe is well presented and super pretty, almost (but not quite) too pretty to eat.
The cafe has a lovely ambience, bright with lots of natural light with a warm, cosy vibe and pleasant staff. I went in the middle of the work day so it wasn't crowded but there were a handful of other tables seated which made for a nice atmosphere as well.
I'd definitely head back again, maybe next time I'll opt for the cheesecake which I'd also...

The service was very friendly and attentive and they created a delicious meat-free version of their signature pasta dish which uses salted rice malt (salt-marinated rice malt) - shio-koji in Japanese. Not vegan, but a delicious lacto-ovo vegetarian option in Yonezawa (advance reservation recommended if you would like a vegetarian meal).
