湯布珈琲 — Restaurant in Yufu

Had a drip coffee and a matcha latte. The drip coffee had strong bitterness and seemed to be a rather dark roast. The water might also have been too hot for the extraction, resulting in a rather unpleasant taste. The matcha latte was okay but for sure nothing special. Sadly uses single use paper cups and plastic lids even when dining in. Very unnecessary and bad for the environment...

Does NOT offer any plant based milk alternatives.

It's nice to escape busy Yufuin for a few minutes but I really can't understand the great rating of this...

the matcha mochi drink was just okay, nothing particularly special. the main highlight of this place is definitely the vibe. it has a moody, dark interior that feels unique and perfect for relaxing.

it wasn’t too busy when i visited on a weekday afternoon, which made it a nice quiet spot. i originally hoped to use it as a work cafe, but there’s no wifi or sockets available.

overall, it’s a good place for chilling or catching up with a friend, but not ideal...

Drinks, atmosphere, everything is good. But I would like to give 3 stars to express my dissatisfaction with this large coffee shop. The price of drinks is the same as a typical large coffee shop, but there is no restroom for customers. I know that there are public restrooms in other places, but as customers who come to use the service, we expect that there should be a restroom for customers to use, like 7-Eleven., there is still a restroom...
