We have visited Bella Italia twice since being in Jersey. Yesterday we arrived and was asked straight away if we had any allergies, my Mum can not have any fresh herbs, she said no problem and that she would make a note, we were then seated. The same person took our order a moment later and the food arrived really quickly but both the starter and main had herbs all over them, we told the next member of staff we saw and they took it straight back to the kitchen.
After around five minutes Anna came out and spoke to us and went through what dish would have what in and what they could do to get as much herbs out as possible.
Our food was redone and even though it was frustrating at first that we had to re-wait it was all done quite fast. The food was really lovely and my Mum spoke so highly of it the following day that we went back.
Anna remembered us and remembered our whole order even though it was over 24 hours which was very impressive considering how busy they were.
The food was hot both nights, the meals were done slightly different for example the peppers were done differently both nights and it came out without the balsamic glaze on which is part of the menu but this part was easily fixed.
The only part I would change out of our meal is the Mushroom al Forne, it is a lovely dish which beautiful sauce but with one piece of bread there is so much sauce left over which is such a shame! More bread should be added as a side.

Had a reservation which on arrival I was left waiting with my young daughter for 15 minutes until I demanded a member of staff have the decency to talk to me. I explained I had a reservation where I was then told well your table isn't ready,people are still eating at it and I should never have been given a reservation. There were at least four tables empty. I understand there is a shortage staff but that is no way to deal with your customers. I was encouraged to go eat elsewhere. I told them no. I was then to to wait until a table was available. When I was eventually shown to a table our drinks which took ages to order were slammed down on the table, spilling it everywhere, no one came with a cloth to wipe it up even though she said she would. Had to clean it with my napkin. Then we had to wait ages again before we could place our food order where one member of staff said she would return with a pad but didn't return and another who had the worse attitude ever. Am very disappointed with the service and the way the staff treat their customers. My husband is recovering from heart surgery and was in need of having to take medication with his food. Read moreI wasn't greeted at the door as I waited to be seated, I had to approach a member of staff who clearly saw me enter and ask for a seat. When I was ready to order I had to wait for a good 10 minutes for somebody to take my order. My waiting on staff member was quite rude and impolite, something I have noticed can happen if you are eating alone, and yet was chatty and friendly with other customers. Once I'd finished my meal, I asked for the bill and was sat waiting for roughly 20-25 minutes whilst I watched my waiting on staff member deliver the bill to a group of customers who had asked for their's after me, take the order of another couple and then completely disappear to the bar area. I noticed staff would reguarly get distracted from their jobs and not pick them up again. After 20+ minutes of waiting, I finally saw my waiting on staff member again, doing yet another job, and asked her (again) for my bill, which she thankfully delivered promptly this time. I understand if a place is really busy, there can be some decline in customer service, but the restaurant had ceased to be busy by the time I asked for my bill, also there is never any need for rudeness.
