Big J Takeaway — Restaurant in St. Helier

Went to Big J's at 5.10pm tonight for an onion ring burger with grated cheese and chips. Two ladies in there who struggle to understand English, especially dark haired one who literally could not understand what i wanted. The other lady helped her understand but when my burger was ready she hadn't done the chips and when i asked her for salt and vinegar on the chips she nearly gave me sauce (the other lady wasn't there) I did suggest she learn to understand english better so she can understand people better. Needless to say my burger wasn't great, onion rings very burnt as were the chips. Great shame as it used to be alot better before these people took it over. Good takeaway. On our 3 night stay in St Helier, we went here 3 times. I have had 3 different things. A delux burger, a New Yorker wrap and a Jalapeno wrap. The burger was ok, the meat wasn't too tasty, and the salad/meat ratio was too much salad. The bun was very soft so fell apart at the first sign of moisture. Very disappointed to find that our Oder had been accepted from Food.je and when collecting half an hour later being told that they don’t have our order. Women was rude and unapologetic. Had to show proof of our order on our email and had to wait another 20 minutes, still with no apology. Staff definitely need customer...
