Almathaq Jo Restaurants — Restaurant in Amman

Ate here twice in a day and still plan on returning. Locals and the staff recommend the mandi chicken but we personally enjoyed the Almathaq BBQ. Sauce was slightly spicy and its coolness went so well with the freshly bbqed chicken.

Portions are HUGE. A small eater and a big eater can share a plate. Order less than you'd usually eat. Trust me on this.

Surprised it isn't busier because the food is really good and has a pretty good view to the Roman Theatre or just to watch traffic go by.

Oh boy, where do I even begin? Probably the best madhbi (grilled chicken with rice) I had in Amman was super juicy, and that flavor was perfect. The rice was cooked perfectly, as were the additions to the meal with the sauces and grilled onion and grilled tomato.
