Simply a must visit in Almaty!
The first time we wanted to eat here we couldn’t find a table (it was at night in Ramadan so you know people reserve and the nights get more busy than usual) so we had delivery, it was so good in the delivery we said to ourselves we have to try in the restaurant! And let me tell you it was absolutely amazing! We went there every night for our 2 weeks in Almaty
The staff is incredible attentive, the place itself is beautiful, with the outside deck perfect for the good weather days to have a snack with a nice sunset 👌🏾 And the food, the food is simply beyond words! the dishes they have are just the perfect combination of flavors and textures, the size was good and they were simply so delicious 🤤 our favorite was the chicken fatat, as my partner said it was just the best one he has ever had outside his home country 🤌🏾 the hummus, the salads, the pita bread, the falafel, the fish, the other chicken dishes all of them good! Never disappointed us!! And the best of all…. the desserts and the coffee, truthful to the flavors and textures of the original recipe, the coffee with the cardamom and the foam were just perfect and the amount is what you want when you are looking for a coffee moment! and the desserts, from the amazing gluten free tahini brownie with ice cream with an incredible gooey texture, to the perfectly balanced Muhallebi were just an absolute delight.
And Tamaz the owner, was everything! So kind, always ready to help us in the restaurant and with recommendations for Almaty, made us feel just like family! He even surprised us for our last day in Almaty with our favorite dessert the baklava!
Thank you so much Harissa team! and Tamaz for making our stay in Almaty a delight! Can wait to...
Read moreI am currently traveling in Almaty and I am from India. The food and service was fine until it was time for us to recieve our balance of cash back. The bill was for 3960tenge and my husband paid 5000 tenge. The balance amount was returned to us by a waitress and was only a torned creased 500 tenge note and 40 tenge in coins. We were supposed to recieve 1000 tenge note instead. We thought it's a genuine mistake on their part and asked them to change the note. Earlier we thought the balance is 500 tenge+ 40 tenge as we didn't check the bill properly. But later realised they owe us 1000 tenge . Upon calling the waitress girl to rectify it Instead of changing they simply hinted that they returned 1000 tenge note and that we kept it,took out that torned 500 tenge note from our own wallet and were trying to scam them by asking for another 1000 tenge. I am deeply disappointed cby this behaviour. On hindsight we should have called the police, who were sitting right in front of the restaurant. But the language issue wasnt something we wanted to deal with after being suggested that we are scamsters. If you're a tourist Indian or otherwise please beware of this restaurant and its staff. This is not the memory I wanted to take back...
Read moreAn absolute gem of a dining experience during our recent trip to Kazakhstan. Lebanese food served at its best.
We found out this place after a horrible first day in Almaty, where we had some worst food experiences. We were starving already when a friend suggested this spot based on his Google search and it was just spot on.
The place was so welcoming with great, friendly staff and good ambience. Everything we ordered from their menu were just fresh and filled with flavours, just as we wished for. Their Chicken, Felafel, Hummus with meat and Sliders were all so good and delicious.
The best part was their different varieties of teas, my favourite being the Moroccan tea. The quantity of food was very good and the pricing was reasonable as well.
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone visiting Almaty in the future and would myself go there again, if I ever visit the...
