Ketchup Dostyk — Restaurant in Almaty

It is nice to see a decent burger joint in Almaty, as many of them are far from perfect. The interior has a solid American diner vibe throughout and looks great. They also have a wide variety of canned beverages, including craft brews. The menu offers a good amount of different burgers and sides. I think it would be much better if they asked how you want patty in your burger done, as you have to specify that yourself. I'm not sure who Anton is, but the burger bearing his name is pretty good. I never thought I'd like bell pepper in my burger, but it worked out great. The signature Ketchup 2.0 packs very vibrant flavors and overall is a great burger. However, I think they put way too much sauce in it. Halfway in, I had a massive puddle of sauce on my plate, and the burger itself begun turning into a mushy mess. All ingredients are nice and tasty, so I personally don't see a reason to drown everything in sauce. The portions are generous if you ask me. I'm glad we got only one portion of fries to share.
