One of the city's more important museum, what you should know before visit it: -The Museum of Rare Books of "Gylym Ordasy" State Enterprise was establiched in the year of 2010. -‎It has more than 500 rare books from national and foreign ancient manuscrit to manuscriptal and aged-old books. -‎The ticket price is 100 tenges. -‎It is highly recommend includes the guide that will make more enjoyable your visit. Also you have the posibility use Izi Travel as a audio guide. -‎ The museum is located in a pavilion inside the main building (there are four museums), and there are three rooms at your right. If any room is closed, ask in the ticket office. -In rooms is not allow take pictures. I highly recommend visit this Museum.

Great museum, located within the former Kazakh Soviet Academy of Sciences building, showing rare books from the Central Asian Region written in Russian, Kazakh, Uzbek, etc printed on Cyrillic, Latin, and also Arabic script. Books are up to 300 years old or more. Have QR scannable codes beside most displays to give explanations of the items in English.

Карты Google определяют это место как Музей археологии, но на самом деле в здании Академии наук четыре музея. Мы были в Музее природы. Музей небольшой, два зала, в одном ископаемые виды (скелеты, фрагменты) в основном млекопитающих, найденные на территории Казахстана. Скелет мамонта, носорога и тарбозавра (написано, что копия, но выглядит как настоящий). В другом зале образцы современной фауны Казахстана в виде чучел в диорамах, включая рыб, птиц, насекомых, млекопитающих. Достаточно интересно, ребенку очень понравилось, стоит посещения.

A great place to visit with the kids. Displays are all in Kazakh, Russian and English. Not a large museum, but very informative. There are IZI QR codes that let you read more online. We also visited the Nature, Science and Rare books museums in the same building. Family of 4 costs only 1000 Tenge...
