Sushi'n'Roll — Restaurant in Almaty

We went there for dinner in my husband’s birthday.

The food at this restaurant was tasty, but the service was poor. None of the staff spoke English, and despite using Google Translate (English to Kazakh), they were unwilling to communicate effectively. Expect for the young waiter gentleman. We ordered many things like sushi set, ramen, drinks etc. Then noticed a dish on the menu listed at 200 tenge and inquired whether it was soup or noodles. The waiter described it as "like soup." At the end of dinner we received the bill, however, the charge for soup was 2200 tenge instead of the expected 200 tenge.

We were informed that this was a mistake made at the copy center, though the correct price was 2200 tenge.

It would have been helpful if the waiter had informed us of the price discrepancy when we asked about the dish.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. It seems that online orders are always given priority over customers dining in. When I arrived and placed my order, I had to wait an extremely long time without any updates. After 40 minutes of waiting, I still hadn’t received my food and eventually had to leave without even trying it. Beautiful Sushi. The place has nice ambience and the staff were extremely welcoming. The chef and my server were kind enough to offer us free pizza and Kazakhi bread. Loved the bread and now I am certain to try Kazakhi food before my trip ends here in Kazakhstan.
