Victory Mexican and Wild — Restaurant in Almaty

Had a great time at Voctory Mexican Wild in Almaty! The service was excellent, and the bartender was especially friendly, making us feel welcome right away. The bar had a great vibe – full of fun, energetic people enjoying their drinks and food, which really added to the experience.

As someone who has been to Mexico over a dozen times, I’d say the food is decent – around 3.5/5. It’s not quite at the level of authentic Mexican cuisine, but it’s still enjoyable. On the other hand, the margaritas were absolutely top-notch – a solid 5/5! Definitely the highlight of the night.

I’ll absolutely be coming back for the atmosphere and the drinks. Hoping the kitchen steps up their game to match the energy of the rest of the place.

This was unfortunately very disappointing experience. We went based on great reviews but...The hostess welcomed us with "I do not speak english" and did not even try to help us out. Now I understand as english speakers we are a difficulty for the staff but a little bit of effort from both sides goes a long way. Her colleague fortunately tried his best to actually take the order - which was the only highlight of this place for us. Waiting 20+ mins for a single coca cola was not ideal, but at least we got the food fast. Definitely only mexico inspired food. If you are going, make sure you have a native speaker with you and get primarily drinks :) On the bright side, the place...

I hate bars, but really needed a fix for Mexican food, which has been difficult in Kazakhstan.

Victory Mexican is amazing! The bar is extremely hip, the music selection is hype, and not annoying and the decorations and art are great, they even have sombreros. The tacos weren't what I am used to, but they were very tasty. The pork tacos and pork steak were delicious! Listen, I wasn't expecting perfect Mexican food, but I really, really enjoyed it.

My only complaint was the lack of plates, no Mexican Music 😨 Also no Piña...
