Kizingo BBQ — Restaurant in Makadara/Mji Wa Kale ward

Located opposite Total Kizingo and Mvita Tennis Club close by to Serani Secondary on Kaunda Avenue off Nkrumah Avenue is Kizingo BBQ (street with NSSF, Mombasa Water, G4S, TSS Towers and Holy Ghost Cathedral)

My order was chips + mishkaki + salad. Well flavoured beef mishkaki with a distinct taste of the marinade. The chips were well dried, plus the different dippings added flavour to the order: ukwaju, chilli and chutney.

The mishkaki were so tender and very flavoured. I liked the taste of the marinade more so the mix of ginger and garlic. Next time I'll try to eat a bit of the menu options as at that time I had a meeting that was closing in.

My friend had mkorogo which is shawarma + chips with a mix of cheese, salad and naan. They were so sweet and the mkorogo itself made it even better and tastier. Utamu guys and next time lazima pia mimi nikuwe kwenye mkorogo. Jaribu guys. We also had freshly squeezed juice where I had an orange one and my friend had passion I think.

The menu is well priced but the portions generally were quite small. 🤭🤭 So maybe that can be looked into but that may mean increased prices.

Next time while in Mombasa, this is a recommended must try place...

I loved it. Convenient around MombasaCBD. Fresh and good food. Their Mshakiki and Tikka is to die for. Their Shawarma is also great. Instead of ordering Shawarma, you can order Mkorogo instead. It's basically a mixture of chips, chicken Shawarma some sources and naan on the side. You won't regret. Their proce is great. But their portions keep on reducing maybe because of the high cost of living. However this is a place I'd advise anyone to visit.

Mostly busy after 7pm and you might wait until there's no food. I recommend going Their over libch hours or before 4pm. You'll get great services and great food. Once again don't fail to order Their Mkorogo and sauce it up with some tamarind, chutney and...

Jamil was very very hostile to me, was ready to order I had my cash ready, I was ready to leave the place because of Jamil hostility and I did not say or do anything to him, hivyo tu he decided it was my day,but a lady on niqab I think her name is shariffa which I think should be applauded for her outstanding customer service experience ,stepped in and made me buy from this place, otherwise I was so ready to leave, I do not need to be disrespected with my own money, the first question Jamil asked me and very arrogantly ni unataka nini? Please put Jamil out of customers until he learns manners, what an arrogant man, please do not visit this place there are places where you can be valued and respected...
