This was a difficult one to review. The food was good, out dietary wishes were accounted for, but not all dishes were as good as I had hoped and the assumption for stunning food was set by the menu and website. We were the only ones in the restaurant and there was no music. I loved the descriptions and the service however. We were very late though, so maybe my experience was influenced by this as well. I enjoyed the experience overall. I recommend this if you have a passion for trying local new food and drinks. But not if you like super amazing michelin worthy food. Also... bring KES with you, dollars they do not accept, we had to pay extra in dollars because of a transaction fee, which was the only reason why I could not give 5 stars dor service. The staff was...

Today l was really craving for local food from my culture and l drove to kilimani l dint get Amaica there since it was under renovations. I still had hope's to drive to wetlands to get what l was truly looking for but l got lost along the mathenge avenue due to incorrect directions from my S6 phone. The signpost isn't a located somewhere clear after l drove twice around the area but couldn't sport it till l finally got it. On my arrival l was angry n hungry but since l wanted real culture food l was so happy with the service, ambience and above all l ate the best food ever which had real taste. Am happy and l will soon come back to Amaica restaurant. Keep it up the woman in charge of...

Having lived in Africa for more than a decade now I honestly found the restaurant expensive for the quality of the food. Local traditional African food is usually good especially because it's good value for money but it's not the case here. On top of that food isn't very tasty, rice wasn't well cooked and it took more than 40 minutes to get the food even though we were the only people in the restaurant... I wouldn't recommend it unfortunately. That being said my 2 friends who had just arrived in Kenya from France liked their food (the tilapia and the chicken in sauce with bananas). Traditional food alright, with the menu furnished with local names of foods. We had rabbit (they insisted it was hare (wa mwitu) and kienyeji chicken with kunde. Great service. Great environment. Probably recently retouched going by the new signs they put up. The water in the taps was erratic though. On and off. Also a bit overpriced, but not necessarily, because it has its specific niche clientele.

Got a little bit worried when we arrived and the place was almost empty. This however was no indication of the service and the food here. Tried a few different dishes and could not fault any of them especially their Githeri which was just 👌👌. Service from the staff was top notch... definitely recommend Amaica for those wanting to try out some tasty Kenyan dishes.
