Barista & Co. is that chill haven you didn’t know you needed until you walked in and instantly felt cooler. First off, yes, it’s a vegetarian restaurant, but don’t let that fool you. The flavors are bold, the portions satisfying, and the creativity on the plate? Chef’s kiss. You won’t even miss the meat (seriously). Their coffee game is strong, rich, smooth, and expertly brewed. Whether you're team espresso or team oat milk latte, they’ve got you covered. And the vibe? Effortlessly aesthetic. Think cozy corners, great lighting, and a playlist that somehow knows your mood better than you do. Perfect for brunch dates, solo journaling sessions, or pretending you're working while scrolling. If you're looking for a spot in Nairobi that’s equal parts wholesome and hip, this is it. 10/10 would recommend, even to my most carnivorous friends.

It's too big, too open, loud background music from the mall and the staff aren't as attentive or as nice as at Sarit. This fully vegetarian restaurant's menu now has ten vegan main courses. I tried the vegan shaksuka which came with a Jerusalem bagel - except it was served with dry and cheap tasting pita bread which they refused to replace. The meal was OK but not particularly tasty and was nowhere near an over thousand bob main course. The date smoothie was excellent. Their cakes at other branches are usually amazing but I didn't get any today. And yet I have a soft spot for Barista and its sister restaurant Shokupan. I just think this Westgate branch is an expansion too far. Pros: 100% vegetarian now with plenty of vegan options Cons: Not worth the money, Suboptimal service, The Sarit Centre branch nearby is way better

The Adjarian Khachapuri was a fake. Looks like a parody in bad sense. You are not well in international dishes. You put in the menu names and cooking 🥘what you want and inventing unknown dishes… Please, change the recipe and cook Authentic Adjarian khachapuri. The recipe you can find in Internet!!! This is a fake dish costs -7€. I didn’t understand for what we paid 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫🙄🙄🙄 Very bad variety of soft drinks… no juices, nor drinks….. horrible place in the heart of West Gate. One time I tried a cheese cake it was horrible -very sugary and was not possible to eat 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄

Walking into Barista café at Westgate, Nairobi, is always a delightful experience, thanks in large part to their exceptionally friendly staff. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with warm smiles that instantly make you feel at home. The employees go above and beyond to ensure you receive the best service possible. A special shoutout to Rafael, whose attention to detail and genuine care for customers set a high standard. The food here is nothing short of amazing, with a menu that caters to a variety of tastes. Lately, I've found myself addicted to their Malaysian curry—it's a must-try for anyone visiting. Whether you're in the mood for a quick snack or a hearty meal, Barista café has something to satisfy every craving. For anyone looking for a coffee spot in Nairobi that offers both excellent service and delicious food, Barista at Westgate is the place to be. It’s more than just a café; it’s an experience that keeps you coming...

I am Vegetarian that does not eat eggs or fish. I asked for an Eggless Cheesecake and was sold a cake with eggs in called Backlovers Cheesecake. The lady serving said it had no eggs in it. Later I ordered the same cheese cake and the said it was made with eggs.

When I asked for the menu to double check the Cheesecake was not on the menu to see its ingredients it was not even on the menu. .The other cheesecakes did not even have ingredients information about them which are on the menu.

This is very misleading to sell a item that's contains ingredients with eggs to a Vegetarian whose not eating these.

I believe the need to be transparent with labelling the items with eggs or without eggs. I wound not recommend this place to Vegetarians as its very miss leading and the staff is not evening bothered and only there to server without courtesy of the customer.

Please all Vegetarian lovers be careful dealing with...
