Artcaffé Restaurant The Junction Mall — Restaurant in Nairobi

To start I am giving you one star the food is nice if it all comes together if you bring half the meal and then the other half and we wait for it then becomes cold of which then it is not appetising.

Continuing with the food the portions are rather small I asked for the largest burger and it was not that large I ended up ordering another meal.

To the service trying to get service it took me five minutes to get the attention of the staff who are not interested at all in their job, finding out that I have to use an app and QR code reader to look at the menu annoyed me as well whatever happened to having a normal menu.

To the atmosphere not a lot I can really say about it other than it was distasteful and after I had struggled to order my food and the waiters had passed me several times at ignoring my hand gestures and also me asking them can I make an order as they passed I will not be using this restaurant again of which is a shame because I have used this restaurant many times in the past

I've been coming here every time I am in Nairobi. So far, I have been once for afternoon coffee and today for lunch.

Both times, I have noticed that the service is slow. Takes a couple of attempts to flag up a waiter. The food is great. The time it takes to get it is worth the wait provided it's not busy! You could skip the trip if you are on lunch break. The bill could take ages to get. So I have learnt to order all your meals and the bill in one go! The waiting staff are OK but they could be clearer. By this, I mean today I brought a friend, we both ordered fish. I had mine with mashed potatoes, which came with veg. All good. My friend wanted half mashed potatoes and half rice. The waiter should have said that no vegetables would be included. So my food and my friends came together and no veg on his. I asked why not? Only to be informed, it was due to half and half rice and mash. So I had to order a side plate of veg. Which took a while to come. Otherwise, the experience was good.
