I heard about Dau on Twitter and immediately decided to try it out. Wacha nikupe uhondo kamili wa kuaminika... The decor is inviting. Not flashy or posh, but done well. There's a touch of Swahili all over the place with many nods through artefacts that leave no doubt about Swahili being celebrated here. The music playing was Taarab so I knew these guys were serious. I ordered a chicken biryani which can be a hit or miss. This one was definitely a hit! The rice was moja moja and tasty. Kuku naye alikuwa na ladha ya hali ya juu. Harufu ilikuwa ya kutamanisha. Read moreAmazing place this was. The space is constructed primarily using wood. Say 90% which gives it a very warm feel. Good music and friendly staff made the experience fantastic. I tried their Chicken Biryani and Chicken Tika. All which were so good. Their rates are also quite friendly considering the location. Plenty of parking as we did not have to look for a spot despite it being a weekend. Would definitely recommend this for friends hangings or even small family functions such as Graduations...
