Bamboo Cask Lounge — Restaurant in Nairobi

At first when I entered the gate, the outside (parking area) looked deserted with scattered ballast stones and broken concrete piles.. as I continued a few turns I started seeing flowers and big beautiful trees which had obscured the lazy and quiet entrance. there's ample parking, so I parked my old 1800 and briskly walked towards a place I will never forget.

it was Thursday and it was a day when the dj was playing nice Reggae jams. inside came with so lovely young bamboo plants on the isle, nice and cozy seats, beautiful and warm lighting, nice food, and nice service.. to me it was excellent. there are also guest rooms to book for the night and a sumptuous breakfast awaits you in...

I was there today with a group of 5. Was in the VIP lounge, food was great but the management and dj was horrible! The dj played blues... all the time, I understand, they have programs but the dj couldn't take any request of a song. I wanted him to play one bongo song as a request he refused. He said the owner does not want that. Also when I called the manager he/she never came to listen to our concerns.That is wrong!!!! I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone worth their salt. I was greatly disappointed by the customer service at Bamboo restaurant. I went there for a date, I had to hunt for waiters to take our order. It took for ever to receive our order. I kept checking and getting excuses from waiters. We ended up leaving without receiving our orders. I had waited for over two hours. I called upon the supervisor to complain but to no avail.
