Faultys Beach Bar and Restaurant — Restaurant in Ukunda ward

We stayed next door at The Flamboyant and decided to jazz it up and eat somewhere different. We hopped next door to Faulty’s and it didn’t disappoint. At first the menu broke our brains being Spanish Pintxos, Mongolian BBQ and Grillhouse, but this works!! I had Pintxos both time (it was so good the first time we went back) the first just 6 items on their own and the second time I had 3 items and the Lemon and Tyme chicken from the grillhouse menu. The Pintxos had changed as well so that was yet more very difficult decisions to make! My wife had smoked duck breast and mash the first time and Pintxos and a Mongolian bowl the second time. Stopped in here to try a beach restaurant on my vacation. Let me say, this place was just what I was looking for. The building is very nice, and upon entering, the waitress, Esther, offered me seating inside or outside on the grass. I chose the outside option to take in some ocean views. There was also live music playing lightly, making the whole experience relaxing. I ordered the wok special, with some fries, and a pudding thing for desert. Everything I had was delicious. We ate here 3 weeks after opening, they are still working out a few kinks but I can tell you the flavors are INCREDIBLE!

Currently they have rotating daily specials and limited menu items, but everything we had tasted fantastic. The pintxos are like mini bruschetta, the thyme & lemon chicken was delicious, and the T-bone steak w/ chimichurri was cooked just right.

We also enjoyed their drinks, particularly the piña colada - it’s definitely made with fresh ingredients.

We were too full to try dessert, but they have Passionfruit cheesecake on the menu?! Sounds delish.
