Comandante Marcos is a welcome surprise in Pristina — a city where authentic Mexican food is pretty rare. For being in a part of the world not known for tacos and tequila, this place delivers a respectable, flavorful experience that hits most of the right notes.

Food:
I went with the fajitas, and they were well-prepared, sizzling hot, and satisfying. My friend had a different dish and also had a pleasant meal. It’s not going to compete with anything from Mexico City or the American Southwest, but it’s definitely one of the better attempts at Mexican cuisine you’ll find in the region.
That said, a heads-up on the salsa — like much of Europe, it comes out sweet and not spicy, so don’t expect that bold, fiery kick you might be used to from true Mexican-style salsa.
⸻
Drinks:
The spicy margarita was actually quite good — a highlight of the meal. Nicely balanced with just enough heat to make it interesting. Worth ordering if you’re into cocktails.
⸻
Atmosphere & Service:
The staff was friendly and attentive, and you can tell a lot of effort went into the décor — colorful, themed, and fun without being over the top. It makes for a cool, casual dining atmosphere that’s great for a night out with friends or a themed dinner date.
⸻
Final Take:
Comandante Marcos is a solid “OK” with a few highlights. If you’re craving Mexican food in Pristina, this is definitely the place to go — just manage your expectations, especially when it comes to spice. Overall, a fun spot, decent food, and a nice...
