Chopsticks — Restaurant in Salmiya

After reading the reviews, we decided to visit chopsticks for an indo-chineese experience. We ordered Chicken sweet corn soup and their recommended soup Chicken dumplings Veg momos Veg spring rolls Noodles Hong Kong style chicken Lea and pepper sauce chicken Sweet and sour shrimps 2 different rice

The soups were very tasty 10/10. Momos and dumplings also tasted good with their accompanied sauce however I enjoyed more with soya sauce. The spring rolls very a good sized portion and a good amount of filling in them, so a thumbs up of that. Noodles and rice were good. Hong Kong style chicken had generous quantity of chashew nuts in it. Lea pepper and Hong Kong both are on the salty end so we also had sweet and sour shrimps that had the hint of sweetness to it. All went really well with the rice. The owner paid special attention to every dish that was either served at the tables or ordered for takeout or deliveries. I was especially pleased by the attentiveness of the owner when we were served momos and dumplings accompanied with a sweet chilly sauce. The adults at the table enjoyed the sauce however it was spicy for my children (they have extra sensitive taste buds when it comes to spice). The owner noticed it and asked if they were ok upon which I told him the sauce is a bit spicy for them and asked for ketchup that he happily provided. While placing our order we had asked the owner if the portion on Noddles would be enough for the kids, so he knew the order for Noddles was meant for kids. As the appetizers were served first and he had observed my childrens tolerance for spice, he immediately told the chef to alter the level of spice in the noodles. Problem it is small n inside n those who know come here n it feels isolated a bit than the restaurants from main roads. U may find this restaurant empty most of the time n I think they make business with take aways...

But it is for food no doubt unless u ask odd stuff that is not expected from a non veg Indian n chinese restaurant... It has Mumbai...

Its a great option for fresh tasty food. Place is neat and well maintained. Limited seating available, so a big group cannot be accomodated if you’re looking for dine in.

Finally after dinner we had ordered tea, it was very disappointing. Tea was too bitter/ strong and tasted different.. so tea was a bad choice here. Otherwise everything else that we ordered here were delicious. Also, the price is in the menu n final price in the bill were different.. which had total difference of 500 fils to 1 kd for 4 dishes. If the charges r revised, they have to update the same...
