4/5: A great family-run restaurant for tasty Lao food and drinks. The name threw me off. By “cafe,” I figured I could come here with my laptop to get some work done while eating and drinking coffee. Unfortunately, there is no internet here :( A cafe without internet? Sounds wrong. Of the restaurants that I’ve been to in Luang Prabang, this is the first without internet. Quite inconvenient for me, in this day and age. Sadly, the food took quite a while to come out. It wasn’t crowded inside. I was somewhat okay with this, however, since I wasn’t in a rush and this is family-run. The food was great! I got the red curry with rice, and the curry itself was delicious. The only downside is that I paid extra for chicken, yet the ratio of chicken to vegetables in the curry was probably 1:5. The vegetables themselves were tasty, but I would’ve liked more meat. I also ordered the watermelon with mint drink. It was an interesting mix, and I enjoyed it! Plus, when my glass was 1/4 full, the lady filled up my glass with soda water, so I had a watermelon soda now. Even tastier! I appreciated that extra drink. Overall, a great place for tasty food. Just be sure to understand what type of cafe this is!

Wow! Absolutely the best meal in LuangPrabang. I came here during the virus outbreak and luckily this cute little cafe was still offering food togo! I wanted to eat here everyday after my first visit— I got the house red curry and added local tofu! Do not skip adding tofu! The wife and chef picks up local, fresh made tofu from the morning market outside of town. The curry was packed heavily with local mixed vegetables and a hearty amount of tofu plus served with Laos style sticky rice. They serve vegan style Laos cuisine and an asian twist on some Western Dishes. I spent some time talking with the husband, whom speaks great English. He told me about the city and we had a pleasant discussion. He even went as far as helping me arrange a drive back to the capital, as my Embassy was making emergency flights out of the Country during the lockdown. I am so grateful for meeting these lovely humans! Good people making great food with pure love and energy! I would come back to LuangPrabang just to eat here and support this business! Thank you so much for being wonderful and respectful humans—

Due to the good reviews, we were very excited to come here this morning, and sadly, left with huge disappointment and me now dealing with an upset stomach. The smoothie bowl I ordered was full with chunks of unripe, frozen, and tasteless fruit?? which I have been told is frozen pineapple. However it was barely recognizable as seen in the picture, there was some pieces of "proper" pineapple while most of them were totally inedible stone hard chunks. Since the rest of the smoothie was probably mixed with the same "pineapple" which I have now consumed, the smoothie itself tasted frozen and sadly also a bit bland, but I still finished it to not waste food or having to leave hungry. However, now my stomach hasnt been feeling well since breakfast. 1 Star for the service, cause after informing the kitchen staff, all I got was excuses that they freeze the pineapple and that right now the pineapples arent good and ripe. Then why have them on the menu??? There was no apology from the kitchen or effort to compensate me or redo my meal. The young boy serving us was the only one who spoke english and seemed friendly as well as sorry for the situation. Also, i dont understand why a shop advertising that they "deliver delicious healthy meals from locally sourced ingredients" would need to use frozen or unripe fruits instead of updating the menu with local in-season fruits.

Came in here one morning as I had a mad craving for a cup of tea. I had an English tea and bruchetta. The tea was quite nice, it quelled craving l and the mug was massive. The bruchetta was okay but not great, the tomato was weirdly dry as if it had been prepared either the day before or maybe in some way that they wanted it to be that dry which would be weird but it was just oddly dry for a tomato. There was also a licorice taste from a herb on it which put me off a bit and I wasn't given a knife and fork and as very clumsy person I kept dropping all the topping off. But overall it was okay, although it was boiling hot and a fan wouldn't go a miss. * Edit - thanks for your reply. I probably just caught you at a busy time in the lunch time rush. I would come back if I was in the area again as the menu all looked good and staff were all lovely.

What a disappointment. Overpriced and not even good. Service is lacking even when it was half empty, didn't get the extra granola I had ordered with the smoothie bawl, even when I reminded them. Eventually, after waiting for ten minutes, I had to walk over to the counter and stood there until they handed me the extra granola I wished to eat the smoothie with. The smoothie was pretty tasteless even after adding sugar and granola. The toasts were tiny, where the mushroom toast had way too much pepper. The tea pot we ordered was broken - the handle kept falling off. The waitress almost dropped it when she came over, spilling some on the table, but instead of doing the sensible thing and pouring the tea into a good pot, she just put the handle back into place and let us deal with it inevitably falling out of place again.

Delicious food and great company! We dropped by for breakfast or last day in Luang Prabang and wished we'd found it sooner. Haley (sp) was so kind and welcoming. The menu isn't very big, but everything is fresh and tasty. We had iced coffee (local Laotian beans), vegan avocado 🥑 toast, and I had the pink smoothie bowl. The toast was on delicious, fresh bread, and the avocados were flavorful. The smoothie bowl was beautifully presented, thick, filling, and full of local fruits. The coffee was rich and sweet, even without sugar. The Cafe also uses all reusable items, such as bamboo straws and cloth napkins. Drinking water is provided free of charge. Haley came over to chat with us and is such a lovely person. We'll definitely be back if we are ever in town. Khop jay!
