(October 2018) My absolute favorite place, ATSALIN restaurant, had great meals priced at 15 000 Kip and they did a thriving trade with locals on the take-away side. With the high turnover I saw, the food is unlikely to be leftovers from the day before. There is seating in the restaurant proper as well as just off the sidewalk. Food is prepared in a busy glassed cubicle where you can see it being prepared. This is not a sophisticated and elegant place, but it is clean and the food is fresh and very tasty as well as being well priced. Service is fine as Southeast Asia goes. When you are ready to pay for your meal just get up and walk to the stairs and the lady in charge of the purse will sort the bill out with you.

ok the food here is great and the prices are good but the service and waitress are the worst. when you arrive they take forever to bring menu . and once you are ready to order and call them they just look at you like they don’t know you want to order food. i have been here three times and when i call them they are very lazy and look at each other like they don’t want to get up and do their job. the manager had to take my order once because i call the waitress and they won’t responding. this is not good business because we should have to deal with rude waitress before we eat.

The price-performance ratio is super high, and there are many locals who come to eat. They cook local dishes, but I highly recommend Chinese people to try them, because some dishes have the characteristics of Chinese cuisine. I ordered fried squid with chili peppers. Moved. The restaurant is also very clean. Three large fans are used to blow hot air and oily smoke at the door, and stir fry, which is great.

The fried rice was frankly a bit disappointing - it had this odd watery flavor, couldn't quite pin it down. It wasn't bland, just watery, but didn't have bean sprouts or anything that would explain it. Serving sizes are small. The noodle soup restaurant across the street (unmarked) serves much larger portions of dishes, arguably of better flavor, despite their run-down look, albeit with a smaller menu.

You have to eat number 19 with duck(Stir fry noodles with soy sauce)! That dish is so far one of the best dishes i‘ve had in southeast Asia. Selfmade thick noodles in a flavourful five spice sauce and duck. The texture is so nice, sometimes crispy, sometimes creamy - such a nice and special dish. You should take it when eating there! The best? The value for money …

Fantastic food and excellent value - this was our go-to restaurant in Luang Prabang Very popular with local folk and does a roaring trade in take-away food too - it's open-plan with the kitchen at the front so you'll see the chefs working like crazy. Not located right in the centre of town , but well worth the walk or short tuk tuk ride.
