This is a great spot for solo diners looking for a quick meal. They offer many single-serving meal options, and the few stir-fried dishes they have are essentially made from the side dishes of the set meals. So, don't expect much in terms of flavor. It's a solid, no-frills fast food restaurant.
As it's a fast food place, they prepare fried rice in large batches, which often results in it being a bit too wet. From a fried rice perspective, it doesn't quite meet the mark, but from a fast food standpoint, it's acceptable. On the plus side, I quite enjoy their braised pig’s feet—cooked just right, not too tough or greasy. The portions are small but reasonable for the price.
The restaurant is very popular with both locals and tourists, so service can be a bit chaotic. You may need to find a table yourself and get the staff’s attention, otherwise, you might end up...
Read moreThis is a cheap local restaurant where a lot of Lao eat. It's fairly tasty but looked like a load of MSG as you can see them cooking. I had yellow noodles and chicken/veg. Reasonably tasty, but not much chicken and a fair bit of skin and other bits. Basic Laos workers will eat every part of the chicken, but that doesn't work so well with me and they eat small portions, this is ideal for them. Me not so much!! My friend had Pad Thai, also with not much in the way of shrimp. Tough to order as they understand little English, but if you want something cheap and aren't bothered about too much meat, this'll work well for you. Although cheap, value for me was so-so as there really was very little decent chicken to eat or shrimp for my friend, but a good amount of cheaper ingredients, so if you're not looing for a chunk of protein, you'll be full at a cheap price (15,000Kip...
Read moreProbably the most disappointing meal we had on our trip to Laos. The service is extreme slow, food was either served cold or oily. The restaurant lacks cleanliness and is usually much crowded and noisier as compared to other restaurants at Luang Prabang. We had hainanese chicken fried rice which was okay but their fried pork spring rolls were served cold and was stinking of stale oil. The tables weren't clean and a group next table were openly spitting in the restaurant but were stopped after some time by staff intervention. Only good thing about this restaurant was the affordability as the prices were much lower than other places at Luang Prabang. Our experience was extremely sour but it could differ as it's highly rated but personally it was a...
