I stumbled into this restaurant when I was looking for vegetarian spring rolls. It’s not available though, they only have pork spring rolls. The manager/owner was nice and asked if I wanted to try their vegetarian dumplings. I would’t say it’s the best dumplings, but it was good. I had it with cabernet sauvignon which was also good, so my first visit to this place surprisingly turned out well. I get it though why some customers give it a bad/low rating. The price was okay for me, same price I pay when I go to a nice and a bit fancy place back home in the Philippines or in Thailand. BUT if you really compare it with the other restaurants around with same concept, Tangor’s prices are overly expensive, which is not worth it if you miss to order the best one on the menu.

Standard Latin fare in Luang Prabang in a nice setting with bad service. Make sure you check your bill. I ordered the "cute piglet", an attempt at a Cuban classic, missed the mark entirely, drowned in an overly sweet BBQ sauce that wasn't complementary to the pork. To add to the disarray, the appetizers were lost in the ether, only to appear post entree after a reminder. (French fries were good though) The final blow came with the check: a burger we ordered was mistakenly billed as a steak (the highest price item in the menu). An attempt to resolve the matter was met with discourtesy from an individual we perceived to be the owner, who asked us to ask for the manager. Patrons be wary: double check your bill, or better find a different restaurant from the many options in Luang Prabang.

We dropped in last night, really wasn't too sure what to eat, after a look at the menu we chose three dishes between us. The dim sum, a cheese board and Ceviche, these with a nice glass of wine. The food took around 45mins to arrive and I think that only happened as we reminded them and by then we were getting a little angry. However once the food arrived our anger soon faded away. The quality of food was simply outstanding , tasty and full of flavor. I have traveled and eaten in so many countries and the quality here is up with the best as is the presentation. The decor is nice and understated, the staff however a little formal and not fitting in with the atmosphere. These are small quibbles and did not detract from the food. Would go again, if fact may do tonight

Our last night in Luang Prabang was spent having dinner at this restaurant which was recommended by our hotel’s staff. I reckon the cuisine leans towards European/French with a touch of local. Turned out to be a great way to end our trip as every dish was excellent. We ordered the tomato soup, chicken burger and the fish ceviche, plus a glass of draft Lao beer. The soup was fresh, flavourful and served with sliced baguette. The burger was alright but the potato chips that went with the burger was perfectly thin and crispy! Finally, the fish ceviche was well-portioned and displayed a right balance of sour together with aromatic local herbs. This meal set us back around US$22.

Have been coming here for the past few years it has never let me down the food to service the atmosphere are fabulous it is a little bit on the pricey side but the quality is definitely worth it I have tried day ceviche but my favorite is the steamed fish it is absolutely delicious and for dessert I would recommend the homemade ice cream with biscuit and caramel sauce and stewed Apple I can't remember the French name for it but you will see it on the menu next time I'm back in November but I will definitely come here again I came here last week A friend of mine and his wife and they both really enjoyed the experience to

Had dinner here last evening. Very quiet in LP so not many people in the place. The signature cocktails were ordered were really delicious. For dinner I had the duck breast salad and my wife the fish filet. The meals took awhile to come out of the kitchen but were well worth it. My wife could not stop talking about how good the fish was. Seems as though they have paired down their menu due to Covid and may add back things later on once tourism returns. Loved the awesome vibe of the place!
