Pande Cafe — Restaurant in Cēsis

This place was something we didn't expect at all. We bought 2 dishes of grilled chicken fillet with potato slices and it was EXTREMELY tasty, and portion was pretty big! Some restaurants in Riga are not as delicious as food in this cafe for only 8 eur, are you kidding me? 😅 It was only 8 eur for one dish. Chicken fillet was big like I do for myself at home, hot and juicy. We also ordered a cheesecake for 3 eur and it was super tasty too, idk what's going on with these prices, maybe they will increase them later but it's crazy good.

We went second time and got franču karbonade and that thing was HUGE, extremely juicy and delicious.

A lovely restaurant with very good food. Creative and complex meals that were generous in portion size and overall delicious.

English menus, although some confusion as most of the meals have a set side to accompany. Quick to sort, and allowed the suitable pairing from what the kitchen would recommend. Caramelized onions on the pork was delicious, and the pancakes - both types, were hits with the kids. Kebab on fries was a different presentation than used to, but worked well.

There is a small kids play area and then some couches for relaxing.

Plenty of street parking (with system where you need to show on dash board the time...

This cafe was the real deal in Cesis. When we went to have some lunch, we didn't expect anything special, but we were so wrong. To anyone who hasn't tried the garlic bread in Latvia yet, please do. It goes perfectly with a beer, but also without a beer, it is the perfect appetizer. 👌 The cafe is really lovely with a small area for kids to play.
