Zio Rigo — Restaurant in Vilnius

There’s an Italian restaurant right under our building that mainly serves pizza. At first glance, it looks like a simple little place, but we never expected the food to be this good.

It’s already become our tradition — every week we come down here, enjoy a pizza, and sometimes have a beer to relax. The staff is wonderful, and we’ve become friends with them — they all know us by now. Even when we just walk past, they greet us, and when we leave, they say, “See you next week!”

We had Margherita and Sbrodolona pizzas. I can confidently say these pizzas were some of the best I’ve eaten lately 🔥🍕

Especially I want to mention great pizza dough, it had incredible taste. The pizza base was thin and the edges were fluffy and crispy at the same time. This is the case when you have eaten but a pleasant slightly salty aftertaste of the dough remains in your mouth for a some time. The cheeses and tomato paste were also of the highest quality. Stracciatella on Sbrodolona pizza is wonderfully refreshing, just a great option for summer :)

Love the owner of the restaurant! The friendliest guy with the biggest smile on his face each time I’ve been there :) Once saw him mentoring a new staff member and was very motivational and patient with the learner which was heart warming to see. The place is always a nice vibe and homey. The pizzas and desserts there are great. I learned I love two new things from this place, cannolis and anchovy on pizza 🤯 Really recommend the Zio Rigo pizza something unique and very tasty. Cannolis is top notch too.
