Grill Terrace — Local services in Vilnius

Atrocious service quality, not sure about the food because i had to leave after finding out that they forgot our order. This came in to light after an hour of waiting.

Place was 1/4th full, maybe around 12 tables and 3 waiters couldn't handle it. I'm pretty sure that they couldn't even agree who was servicing which table as we were approached by 3 sepparate waiter/waitresses throughout the ordeal. They kept bringing us dishes and asking if we were the ones that ordered it (we weren't), which further confirmed my suspicions of the above. One of the waiters couldn't even speak clearly as he was mumbling.

At one point, the waitress came and asked us to reply our order, this was after 40 minutes of waiting. 20 minutes after that another waitress came and announced that they "lost" our order and asked us to repeat it for a 2nd time.

Since terrace is quite high up - it was extremely windy (on a relatively calm day), gusts were strong enough to lift menus, napkins and blow them away. Some tablecloths were blown off the tables and none of the staff seemed to care. I'd also imagine that it can get pretty humid/hot when its not as windy, as the terrace has a transparent cellophane roofing which would effectively turn it in to a greenhouse. For the first 10 minutes it was refreshing, but i ended up shivering on +25 °C evening.

I also noticed a weird chemical smell (toilets?) when we entered the place, however it wasn't as noticeable after we sat down due to insane winds.

The last point I want to make is subjective, but the music there was terrible. Thankfully the volume was acceptable to hold a conversation without having to shout. There is this big screen at the back of the terrace that kept playing what i can only describe as deep russian clubhouse music, accompanied by clips which could induce a seizure from all the strobe lights going off constantly. It was distracting at the very least. Also the video kept lagging out, so I wouldn't advise watching sporting events there either.

After kayaking for few hours we came to the Grill Terrace in CUP with wonderful view to have a couple of drinks to enjoy the sunset. It was 5 of us and once we started to order the server started to feel annoyed because everything we would order they wouldn’t have. We order gin and tonic he said they didn’t have ice cubes so no cocktails weren’t available at that time (we came at like 9:30pm), we have ordered snack plate and they said that they didn’t have shrimps but we still would need to pay the same price and they couldn’t add any extras, then one of the friends tried to order non alcoholic bier they said they didn’t have, then orange juice then carrots juice , they didn’t have any of this even when everything we ordered were on the menu. I wish the server just came in the beginning and let us know that they had busy day and said that there were a lot of things in the menu they didn’t have that evening, but instead he felt really frustrated and unhappy when we were ordering things they didn’t have. My boyfriend went downstairs in maxima and bought ice cubes so I can have gin and tonic I really wanted and they said that they can’t use the ice cubes which are not made by them and miraculously they had ice cubes, I wish server just told us that we could have waited for 15mins and we could have gin and tonics. Warning. Do not go here. I cannot believe that I had one of my worst experiences with restaurants in this place. I am actually disappointed as I liked this place very much. Lets start with the positives : the only positive is that the view is wonderful and that is it. Negatives : too little STAFF. I do not know what the restaurant owner is thinking but a lot of problems could be fixed by just hiring 1 or 2 extra staff on busy evenings. As always I just took the menus by myself, so I did not have problems with that but other people did. 3 groups of people just left after 10 minutes of waiting because they were not handed menus. Furthermore we had to wait for food for quite a bit of time and it arrived semi COLD. Buns on the burgers were lower than room temperature and fries were almost freezing as well. Thirdly the starters that we order only came to our table after we have finished eating our main courses. We were told that they did not have enough plates for our starters to come out.. In conclusion I would not recommend coming here unless you are going to just have a drink by the window and enjoy the beautiful view of Vilnius center (yet still you may have to wait for 10 minutes to get...
