Restaurant Les Ecuries du Parc — Restaurant in Clervaux

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant, mainly due to the poor experience following a problem with one of the dishes. The evening started nicely with friendly service, nice drinks and very nice starters. For the main course my wife had ordered the fish. After a few bites she realised that it was not fully cooked on one side. This was notified to the waiter who after an 'oh' took the plate back to the kitchen. 10 minutes or so later the fish came back, replated and now correctly cooked (although possibly a bit overcooked now). At this point I would have at least expected a small word of apology about the incident, but nothing was said, the plate was put down with a fresh serving of potatoes and that was it. Now I can accept that the fact that the fish was under cooked was an accident, these things happen, but not even acknowledging the inconvenience was a bit much. A pity as everything else was...

Very bad service, super expensive 80€ for 2 dishes (wasn't provided menu with prices) wasn't explained that day was event with special menu, we got just verbal propopositions to choose from 2 main meals, no other servings proposed (also per after wasn’t proposed to serve missed dishes which ones was in menu). Taste of food very basic, nothing special and definitely not cost of price. After asking the bill it wasn't provided and I got told that they don't have bills...!!! Never again. Helaas was prijs kwaliteit verhouding bij het hoofd gerecht ver te zoeken. De bouff bourgingion was ronduit smakeloos. Niet alleen flauw. Gewoon zonder specerijen. Maar het ergste van alles vond ik nog dat toen we hier iets van zeiden er helemaal geen reactie kwam. Geen excuus of begrip. Laat staan en kopje koffie van het huis. Ik voel met als klant totaal niet serieus genomen. Voor een restaurant met zulke prijzen mag je toch wat meer klant vriendelijkheid verwachten. En dikke onvoldoende.
