I went there for Lunch with a friend😊. We didn't have reservation so we got a table with high chairs, I think the only one available...
The restaurant: it is designed in a very modern way.😍👍 Everything looks high end and classy, some parts even glamourous.🛋✨️I really enjoyed it 🤩 although the table that we had assigned was not very comfortable and didn't have too much light.
The atmosphere: very pleasant and cozy.🧸 No loud music to bother you, and depending where you sit I think you can have more or less some privacy. 🥸 During the weekdays lunch it is crowded and a little bit noisy📣 due to the fact that the restaurant is at it's full capacity.
The service: the waiters were very fast and polite, ready to serve us🛎. They were always there to help or answer our questions in a very kind way😍. I felt really welcomed and very well treated.👏👍🙏 We received our orders quite fast, so the waiting time was very low. 🕜👏
The food: Although I have heard people praisig this restaurant (Urban chain), I was dissapointed by some of the food. There was nothing special about it, except the quantity which i can't complain about. We ordered The Deal 🥣🍔 and Cafe gourmand☕️🥧.
The deal (a soup and a normal size burger): The soup was indeed tasty 🥣 with a good consistency and cremosity. My vegetarian burger 🍔 instead, was allover the place. The mushroom burger completely desintegrated after few bites. I can't say that it was tasty. Only chopped mushrooms into that burger, and no other vegetables, or even egg to tie the ingredients alltogether. Difficult to eat it or combine it. Cafe gourmand (coffee with a selection of sweets): The cappucino was good☕️, also some part of the sweets: mousse au chocolat was delicious , sponge cakes and the little muffin 🍰🥧 had a very pleasant orange/vanilla flavours. These ones were really tasty. 🤤Unfortunately one of the pastry sweets really tasted like fish so we had to give it back and inform our waiter. She kindly offered some icecream instead 🍨, but we were already full, so we refused.
To wrap up, the experience is nice, even better when you have a reservation.🕜 Regarding the place🛋, the atmosphere✨️, the service🛎, really nothing to complain about. Read moreDisappointing because it was actually better in the beginning. There where different commenwealth dishes on the menu, from India, south-east Asi, to the classic fish and chips. Now it's simpler and for my taste boring, oriented on burgers and more common dishes. There is nothing wrong with the food, but there is nothing special. On the drinks side, they are well equipped, and there is diversity in cocktails and hot beverages. Nothing out of the ordinary though. The second problem are the concert nights in the rockhal. As they have lots of customers on those nights, kitchen only serves snacks, so if you wanted to eat something nice, well you'll have to leave. Combined with this problem is the fact that service is extremely slow. I never understood why, but you might wait 20 min to order a second beer. Hopefully you can pay at the desk. It's not horrible, but really annoying, and frankly they get a little beef from me for deteriorating...
Read more13.2.2019 5 PM. Went in there and noticed all the reserved signs. So I went to the bar and asked if all the tables were reserved and I was told yes in a can't_you_see_the_signs way. So I left. On my way out I went back and asked for the manager and surprise it was the charming NOT gentleman still fiddling at the espresso machine. I said, while taking the first picture, so all the seats are reserved, to which he responded in a extremely impolite way, adding, talking to a co-worker, "mais qu'est-ce qu'il me veut?" and only then he pointed out that there was indeed a less comfortable table that was available.
