Authentic Thai food? Maybe. If you haven't been to Thailand.
The food in this place has bits of herbs and spices commonly used in Thai cuisine 'tornadoed' in, obviously not in the right combo or proportions. Making them a fusion food at best. Hot as hell, but, doesn't taste that right. Thai food? I can't call it that at all.
Either that or they've slack over the years looking at their popularly. This is my 1st and I'm just uncomfortable in this restaurant. One of the reasons could be the relentless - flies!
We were swapping flies so profusely, like, we almost flew up to the ceiling. Luckily, throughout our completely restless act right from the time we enter the restaurant till we left, it didn't bother the owners, or the waiters or waitresses there AT ALL! This visit we ordered their pineapple fried rice - which was full of curry taste but has several large and fresh prawns, fried omelette - which was too fluffy this cannot really taste the egg bits, grilled chicken wings - nice and juicy but size were soooo small, chicken skewers - again, nice but also super small portion, belacan kangkung - too salty, no belacan 'fragrant' and finally their grilled squid which this time round were overcooked so they were hard and rubbery.
First review This place have come a long way since its humble 'shack' beginnings until now where it has gone thru renovations and air-conditioned. Food's definitely authentic, but don't expect it to be 'cheap' - considering it to be more like a...
