JAHHET Fine Meat Taman Nirwana — Restaurant in Ampang Jaya Municipal Council

Discovered the place while driving around. Decided to give a try and it didn't disappoint. The place is cleaned with wood decoration. It is very structuredly arranged and neat. The staff in front who takes care of the meat section is friendly. She explained how things work in the restaurant. Basically, they are like menate, but newer. The menus were fine. But most of it states about meats and lambs with selections of fresh seafoods too. If you are a fan of chicken or fish, you may not have much choices.

We had their steak and seafood aglio olio. The steak was juicy and well cooked. The black pepper sauce coupled with their mashed potato were good too. The aglio olio was balanced. Not salty, not too oily. Just nice. The prawns used in the aglio olio were okey. For the price, the portion is appropriate. Personally it is bigger than most places.

As for drinks, it is free and they served free flow ice lemon tea, lemonade and orange (etc.).

Price? This place is reasonable. Some meals are cheap in fact. More reasons to come next time. Hope to see more selection of seafood and chicken. Totally...

The location of the restaurant is strategic with ample parking. The place itself is simple, with an open plan instead of close and confine.

I like the concept, free flow of drinks with every steak ordered. It's self service, meaning that you can choose the meat cut from the display in the fridge, depending on the budget and it ranges from RM40 to probably a few hundred (esp the Japanese Wagyu).

I had the grain fed sirloin, it was cooked medium as requested. The meat was juicy (I think it was drizzled with garlic juice rather than the meat juice itself), but for me, it had an unfreshness bland taste, an average for me. Steak accompanied with beans, corn, and potato. Beans and potato was alright but corn was dry & tasteless. It tasted like it was out of a can instead of fresh corn. My siblings had the Angus Steak, didn't complain and enjoyed it. Huge variety of drinks selection from hot to cold.

We ordered angus meat medium cook steak, salted egg creamy fettuccine with soft shell crab, and spaghetti carbonara for kid meal. Frankly there is nothing to shout about for the steak here. For the price we paid for the meat, i was expecting more. There is no option for the sauce. The steak tasted ok. The meat was tender. Luckily i order rice as side dishes. The rice mixed with the steak sauce tasted really good. That one i like. For the creamy fettucine, i think the price was a bit overkill when we got only 1 deep fried battered soft shell crab cut into two parts on the pasta.. the creamy taste was real good but it lacked the salted egg taste. Finally the spaghetti carbonara...hmmm i'd rather not to comment at all. So if i were to come back here, i would only order the salted egg creamy fettucine with soft shell crab, not the steak. Otherwise, i'll go somewhere else for a better steak taste with that price i paid for. Hopefully they can do...
