Totally a nightmare renting this venue!!! Myself and my husband greatest regret for booking this venue. PLEASE THINK TWICE before you book this venue, unless you are truly ready to face all sort of problems on after another even on the wedding/ event day. Otherwise, it IS HIGLY recommended for you to survey other venues with lesser price or more affordable price.
Person in charge and management are extremely POOR !!! Our wedding has been ruined BY them and their false promises. We rented the place for our ROM, we faced alot of difficulties during the preparation as the person in charge always take up several days to reply. On the day of wedding, the sitting arrangements was not done as per discussed, none of the management team were there except one technician for audio and video where they give him all the responsibility!!! Imagine my self and husband ( the bride and groom ) running all over to reach him. His name is Andy. He when missing all the time, without providing us the access card for the make up room, nor during sound check he was there. The Biggest Nightmare when you try to stay calm out all the frustration since its your big day, About 8.30 PM the light went off. YES! ELECTRICITY WENT OFF AND THE DIDNT HAD ANY GEN SET AS BACK UP PLAN FOR THEIR CLIENTS. BEST PART ONE OF MY HUSBAND'S COUSIN GOT STUCK UP IN THE LIFT! SO CALLED MANAGEMENT ( MR.ANDY) WHEN MISSING RIGHT AFTER THE ELECTRICITY WENT OFF! AFTER 20 MINUTE MY HUSBAND'S BROTHER SEEING ENTERING THE GLASSHOUSE CALMLY. WTF WAS THAT. WE BEEN CALLING HIM RIGHT AFTER THE ELECTRICITY WENT OFF. HE DIDN'T ANSWER ANY OF OUR CALLS. TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT EVER! THE HOUSEKEEPING WORKER'S END UP APOLOGISING WITH US. Just imagine we had to answer every single little things, when even the lady we spoke earlier didnt attend our call. NO ONE TURN UP TO SUMMARISE.
THE next day when my husband spoke they say the didnt find any necessity to have back up for their client. They could only give back the money according to hour.. WELL! MONEY IS NOT ALL PEOPLE, IT'S ABOUT REALISATION HOW POOR YOUR MANAGEMENT ARE AND YOU GUYS HAS RUIN SOMEBODY'S BIG DAY.

Read moreAmpang Glasshouse (AGH) is a solid choice as a venue. The ambience in the glasshouse is very nice around evening and night, and when the weather condition is right. I had a pleasant experience with the AGH team, and the whole event was a success. The venue manager, Nicky, is very experienced and helpful. Renting the space without her is not the same, and I'd say without her presence, it would change our decision in renting the space. She gave solid advice, helped out in the planning process and cut down our costs. Thank you Nicky!
I've listed down some considerations and my opinions below for others who would consider this great venue space.
Venue AGH is stunning at night with beautiful lightings in the glasshouse and fairy lights at the outdoor space. plenty of furniture can be rented (long tables, bar tables), and the table cloth provided was nice. AGH in the day gives a very nature vibe, with benefit of a location that is near the city ample of parking in front of venue, with RELA team handled by AGH team
Pax size AGH is more suitable for smaller pax sizes, ideally less than 100. In my opinion, smaller pax size is more comfortable. higher pax size can be accommodated if you use both 3rd and 2nd floor traffic between the floors needs to be considered, it can be a bottleneck. If you are directing your guests between floors, the lift can hold around 8-10 pax per trip, and there are stairs.
Weather dependant AGH has some areas which are affected by rain, you'll have to plan that accordingly (update from the team: upgrade is on the way, and this will not be a problem in the future) as any glasshouse venue, daytime events will be stuffy in the glasshouse if the sunlight is strong. Air conditions are provided, but this is more of nature of a glasshouse.
Additional cost AGH has been very transparent about the costs, I'm simply listing down the cost on top of the listed price which can be useful information: non-vendor charges, furniture charges, kitchen equipment charges, and additional hour charges. IMO, the full day package is more worth it than the half day package, as the setup time is part of what you'll be paying...
Read moreMy husband and I recently did an intimate malay wedding reception here! And IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. We highly recommend this place. The venue itself is magical and everything was complete, first floor u have a make up room and vip room, second floor deco was esthetic cave like with a cozy room that has netflix and suitable for family to chill. And of course the top floor is just gorgeous! The indoor was the glasshouse with was the highlight and outdoor equipped with swimming pool, gazebo (we had a band playing there) and also a top deck for amazing view!
But most importantly, we loved and appreciate how the whole Ampang glasshouse team managed our event. From the cleaning team (with strict sops in place), parking was smooth ( even all my guest praised them) and of course nicky the venue manager was the best and gave us the best tips and trick to make our wedding the best of THE BEST! We wouldnt have manged to throw a gorgeous event without her! From the bottom of our heart, thank you Nicky!!!!
